Nelson Mandela, the Hero of the People



Mandela is a hero because of his remarkable and fighting nature, his wisdom, patience and willingness to sacrifice for others.  Through his life he leant from his mistakes and said that he was a leader because of his extraordinary circumstances. When Mandela came out of prison he did not live in the past but lived positively and powerfully with forgiveness.

Nelson Mandela, the Hero of the People



He was the hero of the people because he fought against the evil apartheid system and for the freedom of the entire nation. He was not vengeful and even though he spent 27 years in jail he showed great compassion because he believed every human being was of the equal value.

Nelson Mandela, President of RSA



When Nelson Mandela was the President and helped end apartheid he ushered in a peaceful and equable change to the social and political parts of South Africa. He had fought for his country and was a loyal and devoted President. He preached reconciliation amongst all races. He and F.W. De Klerk won the Nobel Peace Price.

Nelson Mandela, President of RSA



Nelson Mandela was the President of South Africa between 1994 to 1999. He was a South African anti-apartheid engaged politician. He was the first democratically elected President and the first black South African President. His government aimed attention at taking apart the tradition of apartheid. He served as the President of the ANC from 1991 to 1997.
